Public room hire
On the Scale tier (£199/mo), you can accept external room bookings via a public hire page — perfect for renting out your facilities to community groups or running a co-working space.
Setting up public hire
- Go to Spaces → Settings → Public Hire
- Enable Public Hire Page
- Choose which rooms to list publicly
- Set external hire rates per room (hourly, half-day, full-day)
- Add terms & conditions
- Publish
Your public hire page is live at /spaces/hire/{your-org-slug}.
How external bookings work
- Anonymous visitors browse your rooms with photos, capacity, amenities, and pricing
- They select a room, pick a date and time, and fill in their contact details
- If the room is set to auto-approve: they pay via Stripe checkout and receive a confirmation email
- If approval is required: you get a notification, review the request, and approve/reject
- On approval, the requester pays and the booking is confirmed
Custom domain
Scale tier also supports a custom domain for your public hire page (e.g. book.yourvenue.com) configured in Settings → Custom Domain.
Reporting
Track external hire revenue in the Reports tab (Scale tier). See utilisation rates, revenue per room, and top hirers.
